Old Things, New Charm
Our Point of View
Lowery’s Dial is a vintage-inspired gift and decor shop in Old Town Alexandria, with an ever-changing collection of pieces meant to be lived with, gifted, and kept.
We have a soft spot for things with a past—and a belief they should still feel at home in the present.
What’s in a Name
Lowery’s Dial is named for two people who shaped the way I see beauty.
My great-grandmother, Winifred “Mimi” Lowery, owned an antique gift shop in California and was known for her unforgettable displays and sense of occasion—especially her sparkling pink and white Christmas tree that drew crowds each year. Though I never met her, her spirit of creativity and charm has always stayed with me.
“Dial” was my dad’s middle name. He was witty, grounded, and never quite understood my love of shopping—but he always appreciated my eye for beauty. He passed away in 2021, before the shop opened, but his presence is part of everything here.
Lowery’s Dial lives somewhere between the two of them—
a love of beautiful things, and a reminder not to take it all too seriously.
It’s a place where old things find new charm, and are meant to be carried forward.
